About Marc
Marc Gerstein, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac (NCCAOM) has been practicing Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in Connecticut
and Western Massachusetts since 1984. He is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture, the first accredited
Acupuncture program in the U.S. He subsequently completed a 2-year post-graduate program in Chinese Herbal Medicine,
also at NESA. In addition to his formal education, Marc has done extensive continuing education study in many styles
of Oriental medicine, including Japanese Kanpo Yaku, Korean Constitutional, and since 1995, has studied Classical
Chinese Medicine under the tutelage of Jeffrey Yuen.
Marc is a 37-year practitioner of the Qi cultivation methods of Chinese Medicine, including Qigong and Chen Taijiquan.
He presently teaches Chen Taijiquan under the auspices of the Chen Taiji Academy and is a senior student of Master
Wang Haijun.
The focus of his practice is wholistic, emphasizing the diagnosis and treatment of the root cause of the patient's
illness. To this end he employs the full spectrum of Chinese Medicine treatment modalities including acupuncture,
massage, moxibustion, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, and Western nutraceuticals.
He is a Diplomate in Acupuncture with the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; and
is a member of AAAOM, Connecticut Acupuncture Society, and the American Acupuncture Council.
